HOW TO IMPORT SONGS?

First of all, let's see how this feature work in StepMania Tacvicom Edition.

HOW THIS FEATURE WORK IN STEPMANIA?

As you can see in the image, there's a file called Preferences.ini, which is located into the StepMania 5 folder inside the user folder (the most common address is C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\StepMania 5\Save) or into the StepMania 5 installation folder (only if that installation is portable. In another page we'll explain how to do it). Inside that Preferences.ini document you'll find a line called AdditionalSongFolders, which you can write the complete address of that songs folder of another Stepmania installation (and you can add all the folders like that you want). This is how it work, so have this on mind.

AFTER SEE THIS, LET'S GET STARTED ABOUT HOW TO IMPORT SONGS!!!

1- Find that Preferences.ini document (the location is shown above), and open it using any Notepad application.

2- After opening it, find that songs folder in that another StepMania installation (or another one that meet the right structure).

3- When the folder is found, do on it a secondary click of the mouse, and click in Properties.

4- In properties, copy that location and paste into the Preferences.ini document (to have a line like this example: AdditionalSongFolders=C:\Program files\Stepmania 3.9b\Songs. If you want to add another location, only add a point and comma (;) and paste the other location until is enough) and save the document.

5- After saving, go to Stepmania and use the Reload Songs/Courses inside Options or close and launch StepMania again.
